About Us
One of the oldest churches in Central Kentucky, Salem Church has witnessed to the Good News in this community since 1785. Now as it continues in its third century, it seeks new ways of ministry and larger opportunities for service.

If you are new to the area; if you have no church home; if you have a concern for service and an interest in what God has in store for us in these days; we invite you to join with us in an adventure of faith. What we have to offer is a regular Sunday morning service of worship and preaching and the caring concern of a small fellowship of faithful individuals and families. With your help, we can do much more to make the Gospel of Jesus Christ a vital part of the community in which we live.

Please come and worship with us on Sunday morning at 11:00am. About once a month, usually on the first Sunday, the congregation gathers for a potluck dinner and fellowship after church. You will be most welcome to share with us at that time.

Salem Church is a part of the Presbyterian Church, USA, and a member of the regional body, the Presbytery of Transylvania.

Membership in the Presbyterian Church is by a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, or by transfer of membership from another Christian church. Presbyterian churches observe the sacrament of baptism for both infants and adults and the sacraments of the Lord's Supper.

Salem Church shares in support of Christian witness and service through the larger mission of the Presbyterian Church, through the support of the Christian Service Ministry of Transylvania Presbytery, and through the Clark County Community Services.
